About Buying the Book
In Australia. I self-publish through IngramSpark.
I'm not Amazon or Booktopia, I'm running a pretty small operation. I use a print-on-demand service with IngramSpark so I only make what is required.
Covid-19 restrictions are impacting timing, but typically you should receive the book in 6-8 business days.
- When I receive an order, within 24 hours I trigger the print process. That means your individual book is printed, bound and packaged. Currently, printing is taking about 4-5 business days.
- When your book is on its way I email you the StarTrack tracking details. Currently, transit time ranges from 2-4 business days for ACT, VIC and NSW metropolitan areas and up to 10 business days for remote areas of WA, NT & QLD.
If the book arrives and it is not in “as new” condition I’ll be happy to offer an exchange or refund within 30 days of receiving your request. To be eligible your item must be in the condition you received it with the original packaging.
First, let me know the issue by contacting nahitscbr@gmail.com
- If you want an exchange because the book isn’t in acceptable condition I will order you another book.
- If you require a refund, you will need to send the book back, and once it’s been inspected I’ll let you know if the refund is approved and automatically refund you payment by the original payment method.
You can buy up to 5 books and pay the same standard postage rate as for buying 1 copy.
If you want to buy more than five copies please get in touch - they take slightly longer to print and cost a little more to send when there's more than 5.
About Nah
Sure! Email me: nahitscbr@gmail.com
I currently live in Wellington, NZ. But I still have strong ties to Canberra and I have a place in Australia. With the bubble and vaccination status it will be difficult to easily do the back and forth that I used to for 10 years. But I never say never.
As for another book. I used 238 images for this book and I have about 800 so another book is certainly possibly if this one does well and there is interest.
I am working on a poster version of the Map that's in the book.
And I do have a LOT of half started drafts that I haven't published.
So yeah, there will be more.
Nah.
But I'm happy for people to put #nahitscanberra against images they've done in Instagram or elsewhere.
Tumblr is Nah's emotional home. There's no other community like it. Anything new I put there - but no-one really uses Tumblr.
So @nah-itscanberra is where I am slowly transferring all the images. Follow it there for current updates.
When I did work for Government Departments the amount of red-penning I would get from senior managers about font size, page layout, orphan words, "make it fit on a page" and the occasional "I just personally don't really like that colour" was...frustrating.
So when I was designing and laying out the book I did it for all the people who's documents didn't get read for content but for layout. What's wrong with a hanging word or a typo or too?
