Behind the Scenes

Sunsets and sunrises are the best in Canberra. When I moved there I was struck by how BIG the sky was. My favourite sun was evening sun. This picture was taken in the foyer under the escalators of the National Gallery of Australia. Late evening sun streaming in on a Sunday, reflecting off this sparkly sticker floor: Sound System, 2015 by Jim Lambie.

Here's a view of the installation happening. The NGA acquired the work and here's a piece about it in their Artonview magazine. 

I'm pretty sure I 'spotted' the last weekend before they de-installed it.
